I guess everyone is familiar with the User Account Control (UAC) in Windows. The main issue is the elevation of privilege’s. That’s a valid point in times where collaboration tools like Microsoft Teams are available and we have screen sharing capabilities where we can give control to someone else: That’s great but why should I care about a remote support solution anyway if I have Teams?

You should be able to change the password afterward presenting no significant security risk. To test you might temporarily give one of the users credentials to a local Admin password. Maybe your issues is, that you're running them a standard users, so you are never able to get the required permission for the Remote tools to use system credentials allowing for remote access to the UAC prompt. When I've installed those programs myself it was alway using an account with local Admin rights or where the end user knew Admin credentials for the initial setup.I know Kaspersky has done this on computers I accessed in the past. Some AV software can block remote access to UAC prompts.GotoAssist also handles UAC well, and is my current preferred option. Something odd here because when I've previously used Teamviewer and Logmein Rescue they both could handle UAC prompts. But at least on Windows 7 this should be no problem for Teamviewer, Logmein Rescue, GotoAssist etc. What version of Windows are these devices running?
